The THANG

Circle up for:

Part 1

  • Circle up in the plank position. Hold plank and starting to my left, the first pax does 10 Merkins while the rest of the pax holds the plank. Once the first pax completes 10 reps, the next pax does 10 Merkins. Repeat all the way around the circle.
    • YHC noted it would have been nice to have gloves on for this one!
  • Pax grab ankles like start of Monkey Humpers. 1st pax does 10 MH while others hold still. Next 2nd pax does 10, repeat all the way around.
  • Side Straddle Hops. 1st pax does one Burpee. Next does one burpee – all the way around the circle. Repeated this one since it was so much fun!
  • Next do this with high knees and burpees.

Part 2

Today we used two pairs of dice. Each man took a turn and threw both sets of dice. The red dice was the exercise (see list below) and the orange dice was the number of reps + 10. The dice thrower picked in cadence or single count and led the count.

If either set of dice came up snake eyes, the pax had to do 5 burpees. Yes, we had to do burpees once.

  3. WW2 sit-ups (arms extended)
  4. Wide Merkins
  5. Squats
  6. Alternating Shoulder Taps
  7. Monkey humpers
  8. Mountain climber
  9. Jump Squats
  10. Squatted overhead claps

Each time we made it around the circle of pax, we moseyed around the driveway to the circle and back before starting over. After the first rotation the pax were empowered to choose the exercise. They could stick with the one on the list, or pick something else.

At the conclusion we added 5 burpees OYO – just because.
