Regroup at the base of the Slope of No Hope for the Slick portion of the morning. A mouthful of water carried at pace for .75 miles to the Country Park War Memorial. Butt Fumble shared a letter to F3 Greensboro from Al Pacino, SSG Matthew Pucino’s dad.

Good morning men of F3,

On behalf of the entire Pucino family and the SSG Matthew A Pucino Memorial Foundation I wish to express a heartfelt thank you for your support and dedication to the Blackbeard Challenge.  When Matthew was killed I was not sure how our family would survive the tragedy.  He was our hero and now he is gone.

Fortunately, God had a plan for Matthew and his legacy.  The creation of the SSG Matthew A Pucino Memorial Foundation has allowed the family to continue to move forward through the inspiration from individuals and groups such as F3.  I believe the selflessness which Matthew displayed during his life has now become his legacy.  That same selflessness now shines forth in the Pucino family and Matthew’s Foundation as we strive to assist our wounded veterans and their families.

The honor and respect given to Matthew and his legacy by the men of F3 has become the cornerstone of Matthew’ Foundation.  We cannot do this alone.  Thank you for standing with us.  You are our heroes.  Stay safe and never give up.

God Bless,

Al Pucino, Matt’s Dad

Pax was given 5 minutes to reflect in the Memorial Garden surrounded by quotes & imagery spanning various war campaigns. #powerful #somber
