AO: Closing Time

PAX: Spartan, Renaissance (R), Slide Rule (R), Expired (R), Lederhosen, Dortmund, Michelin Man, Poehler, Beatles, Tommy Boy, Wookie, Windmill (R), Hey Guy, Sheldon, Socrates, and Eggplant (R).
16 pax assembled. All salty veterans and mostly Closing Time regulars. YHC delivered the mission and disclaimer, then a mosey to the church parking lot for:
- Side-straddle hop 20 IC
- Windmill (slow) 10 IC
- String-ripper 10 IC
- Sun-gods forward 15 IC
- Sun-gods backward 15 IC
- Merkins 15
- Hug Thyself
- Squats 15
The pax warmed, we went on a short mosey into the cemetery where YHC had set up for:
The pax were lined up along one side of the road. About 30-40 yards up an incline there was a cone placed. The first two pax PICKED THE PAIN from a container with pieces of paper with exercises written on them. The pax performed the exercise, while the first two pax in line ran to the cone and back. Upon their return the runners went to the back of the line, and the next two PICKED THE PAIN to repeat the process.
The exercises in the container were: MERKINS, CAROLINA DRYDOCKS, LBCs, RANGER MERKINS, BODY DESTROYERS, WERKINS, AL GORE W/ AIR PRESS, BURPEES, MONKEY HUMPERS, JUMP SQUATS, MOUNTAIN CLIMBER, PLANK JACKS, SHOULDER TAPS, HIGH KNEES, DIAMOND MERKINS, GOOFBALLS, BOBBY HURLEYS, LUNGES, CRUNCHY FROGS, BOAT HOLD, HILLBILLIES, PETER PARKERS, IMPERIAL WALKERS, and MIKE TYSONS.
The thang went smoothly and kept the pax moving, however, two issues arose. While we were doing Monkey Humpers a pack of young female runners came over the hill and the pax was nervous that our runners would not get back to us in time to change the exercise. Mercifully, before the young ladies arrived Goofballs were called so we still looked like idiots, but not creepy idiots.
The other issue arose, when the runners called for “Boat Hold” and then ran off. The pax thought they said “Butthole” and asked YHC what this new exercise was. YHC had also heard “Butthole” so general confusion and concern prevailed until someone found the piece of paper and clarified.
We made it through almost all of the exercises before it was time to start the mosey back to the shovel flag. Along the way, we made a short stop to collect the 6 and do a couple of stretches, then continued the mosey to the shovel flag for:
- Pidgeon pose
- Freddy mercury (Foghat Style) 15 IC
- Low slow flutter 15 IC
- Heel touches 15 IC
- American Hammer 15 IC
Slide Rule volunteered to take us out
It was a hot and humid night. The pax worked hard and picked up the 6. Great work by all!
