It was a balmy and humid morning at Arise. I pulled in to the lot at 0502 and found a troop ready to take an EC mosey. We got back at 0525 where we met up with the rest of the crew and got down to business!
Standard fare: Mountain Climbers, Sun Gods, Windmills, String Rippers, Sun Gods, whatever other stretching you see fit.
I explained that I had encountered a modification of the BLIMPS years ago while down range with F3 Louisville – the Hindenburg. To my knowledge it has only been done one other time at F3 Greensboro which was back when I took over the shovel flag at Shake Weight. The block around the church at arise was the perfect setting. Straight out of the exicon:
Hindenburg BLIMPS – Modified version of BLIMPS. Done on a field. Perform exercise at corner #1, sprint to corner #2, perform exercise. Sprint to corner #3 perform exercise. Then to corner #4, exercise and then back to corner #1. Plank it up until all have finished. Thats one round. Round 1 – 10 Burpees; Round 2 – 20 Lunges; Round 3 – 30 Imperial Walkers; Round 4- 40 Merkins; Round 5 – 50 Plank Jacks; Round 6 – 60 Squats
