Starmount Stampede

I wanted to go in a different direction than I had been on previous Q’s and workouts at Starmount Stampede. I remembered my first workout there and how we started on Walker and ended up at a school running around an island and how it made me not come back to this AO for 8 months…..then I decided to pay homage to that workout by repeating it! I was worried about the rain from the tropical storm but I talked to the Sky Q and he pulled a favor for me.

The Warm-A-Rama

  • SSH
  • Windmills (holding a 3 count on each side) x 10 IC
  • Sun Gods x 15  Sun Gods (in reverse) x 15 IC
  • Imperial Walkers x 15 IC
  • The Pax lined up on one side of the court and performed the following exercises to the opposite side:
    • High Knees
    • Butt Kickers

With muscle groups sufficiently warmed we took off of the route below.

 

The Thang 

We basically did interval running with the faster PAX giving the slower PAX a head start on a route that took is to the school where we had a partner run where 1 partner took off and tried to catch the other partner who was sloe moseing from the same start point. Basically, the partner running faster had to do about 2 laps before he would catch the slower partner and switch running speeds.

The Pax then moseyed back to the shovel flag with a long version of a jailbreak to get there after an Indian run.
