Date: April 28, 2021

PAX: Toto, Bulldog, Boy Wonder, Ricardo, Poehler, Short Squeeze, Drysdale, Confusion, Newhart, Everest, Etch-a-Sketch, Huggies, Radiator, Flo Jo, and Eggplant (QIC).

The pax started to trickle in around 5:20am.  The 6 EC runners came in at 5:25am and a solid group began to gather.  At 5:30am YHC delivered the mission and disclaimer and then we started a mosey to Center City Park (Sidenote: Greensboro, great job on the downtown parks!) for:

We took advantage of the grass being dry in the park and circled up on the lawn for:

  • SSH 20 IC
  • Imperial Walkers 20 IC
  • Abe Vigodas  15 IC
  • String Rippers 15 IC
  • Cobra Squats 10 IC
  • Sun Gods 15 IC
  • Chinook 15 IC
  • Sun Gods-reverse 15 IC

The pax warmed, we took a short mosey to the O’Henry Book Statue for:

The Thang

Along the way, some of the pax stopped to work an EH on a lucky pedestrian. We planked while they finished their work on this future FNG.  When everyone arrived, YHC explained The Thang.

There were 4 stations set up along Bellemeade from Elm to Greene.  Each station had three exercises to be performed rinse and repeat until relieved.  The pax were split into 5 groups; one assigned to each station and the 5th group running from Greene to Elm to relieve the pax at station 1, who moved to station 2, etc and so on.

The stations were:

Station 1

  1. 20 Derkins
  2. 20 Step-ups (10 per leg)
  3. 20 Dips

High Knees to next station

Station 2

  2. 20 Mike Tysons
  3. 20 Squats

  • Low Slow Flutters 20 IC
  • Elbow to Knee 20 IC (10 each knee)

Flo Jo shared information on an upcoming Marriage workshop May 21-22.  There are links to the details on his Twitter.

Boy Wonder and Backdraft are kicking off a new AO at Smith High School on Thursday, May 6.  Pax and Q’s needed!

Thank you to Toto for being vulnerable in the COT.  That was a powerful share.  Great example of how we need to “check-in” despite how people seem and give them an opportunity to be vulnerable.

Really a great group of HIM at Local Honey this morning.  Truly an honor to Q.
