Pax: Short Bus (R), Damage Control (R), Mud Flap (R), Quint, Minuteman (R), Bodett, Expired (R), Windmill (R), Stryker, Viagra (R), Fletch (R)
QiC: Eggplant (R)
Beautiful evening during the light of day, the Pax began to gather and toss around the football casually in the calm before the storm. At 1745 YHC called for the Pax to circle up, gave the mission statement, disclaimer, and then we started a short mosey to the circle for:
The Pax circled up for Side straddle hops, Sun Gods (forward and reverse), Abe Vigodas, and String Rippers. Sufficiently warmed, we moseyed to the back parking lot for:
YHC set up a Tabata style workout with 45 seconds on and 15 seconds rest. There were two rounds with 8 exercises each with a break between each round for a short run. The one caveat was that if “Can’t Touch This” came up on my playlist, the Pax would stop what they are doing and Carioca down the parking lot and back, or a Pax could opt to do the Hammer Dance half the distance. Cobains to the Pax, because I had loaded too much 70’s music (that apparently suggests YHC has a shady past) into my playlist and the music of MC Hammer never came up. The exercise rounds were:
- American (MC) Hammer
- Hand Release Merkin
- Carolina Dry Dock
- Imperial Walkers
- Mountain Climbers
- American (MC) Hammer
- Step ups
- Crunchy Frogs
- Shoulder Taps
Upon completion of Round 2, we Carioca’d down the parking lot, but alas, no Hammer Dancers. We then set up for a Plankworm back to the shovel flag. Essentially a Leap Frog run, where the Pax are in Plank in a line, with the last man in line running to the front. We were farther from the shovel flag than YHC anticipated, so about half way Al Gores were substituted for Planks. Once we were back to the shovel flag, the Pax circled up for:
Mary began with some stretching and then we did Low Slow Flutters, Freddy Mercury (Foghat style), Heel Touches, and The American (MC) Hammer.
Damage Control took us out
Cross Ruck is this Friday 5am-6:30am starting from Grace United Methodist Church. Good opportunity to share fellowship and center on what is important.
Great to see what is going on at this AO. No FNGs this week, but we had two enthusiastic 2nd-timers came back, with special thanks going out to Minuteman for giving each of the Pax a custom F3 coozie. Of the 12 Pax in attendance, four originally posted at The Plate. T-Claps to Expired for seeing a need and bringing F3 to these men. If you build it, they will come.
Honor to lead this great group of men!
