2020 has been the strangest year of my life regarding events beyond my control and some within my control. Needless to say, I have been frustrated with Covid, murder hornets, economic scariness, isolation, racism, curfews, etc… One or more of these things have impacted everyone on some level. I have not made a statement about any of these issues, not will I. But, I would like to say, this is a time for people to love their neighbor as themselves, just like Jesus said, and to love their enemies like themselves, like Jesus also said. These are great everyday practices, that can be drilled down to “what does Love demand of me in (situation “x”)?” ~Stanley. Not what does love demand of me. So, whether one or more of the aforementioned issues has plagued your heart, mind, or soul, we can look to God, Love as embodied in the person of Jesus, to give us a new heart, mind and soul to truly serve one another, and see beyond the exterior/or circumstance, and point each other to true remedy for all societal ills.
