PAX: Wicked, Xerox, Cecil, Puddle Jumper, Schnitzel, Bushwood, Butt Fumble, Ingot, Bed Bug, Matlock (QIC)
10 pax came for the day after my pre-spect birthday Q. I was supposed to Q with Poehler on our birthday, since we are twin brothers from other mothers. But the big P decided to take a long weekend at the beach instead. I’ll get over it eventually. YHC was subbing in for the Blue Oyster who was double booked at 5:30 am on a Friday.
The rain held off for us at the Fringe today. It usually does. Don’t let the weather influence your decision to post. You’re going to end up drenched in sweat anyways, the rain will not hurt you.

The Weighted Mini-Cooper.
It’s a mini cooper because the full Cooper requires you to run one lap around the track and then you do 10 burpees 10 squats 10 merkins. We did half laps to the merkins, squats dips and then a half lap to the weight routine. Hence, weighted mini-cooper:
10 Over Head Press, 10 Goblet Squats, then 10 Curls each arm. ½ Lap around track, 10 Merkins, 10 Squats 10 dips ½ Lap around track to meet partner. Then 9,9, 9 of same. Count down to 1. Most pax did 10 merkins each time.
We are able to get to the 5th round before Omaha was called for Mary.

MOLESKIN:
-We really need an FNG to post at the Fringe soon, we have a list of 20 nick names, some not appropriate, to use.
-Wicked was hurt and still ran at a 7:30 average pace.
-Good to see Schnitzel out after Closing Time was rained out, where were the other Closing Time regulars?
-We used weights and the track at the weight/track AO. I hope Bodett is happy.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
-Look for the date in September for Community Housing Solutions work day. We will be assigned to a house in the tornado affected area.
-PAX can sign up for volunteer training with Samaritan’s Purse. If you haven’t received an email about this, contact Wicked.
COT: Wicked took us out as the rain began to come down to replenish the soil so we can grow. It was a welcome break from the humid conditions and it had a calming effect on YHC. With Wicked’s words and being with these men around me in the rain, YHC realized that despite of the turmoil of this summer with the loss in our family, all is well with my soul. It made me think of the hymn of the same name, which I will share the words now:
When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
Aye,
Matlock
