All In Manifesto

“Quit living life as if the purpose of life is to arrive safely at death.

Set God-sized goals.  Pursue God-ordained passions.

Go after a dream that is destined to fail

without divine intervention.

Keep asking questions. Keep making mistakes.

Keep seeking God.

Stop pointing out problems and become part of the solution.

Stop repeating the past and start creating the future.

Stop playing it safe and start taking risks.

Expand your horizons. Accumulate experiences.

Enjoy the journey.

Find every excuse you can to celebrate everything you can.

Live like today is the first day and the last day of your life.

Don’t let what’s wrong with you keep you

from worshipping what’s right with God.

Burn sinful bridges. Blaze new trails.

Don’t let fear dictate your decisions.

Take a flying leap of faith.

Quit holding out. Quit holding back.

Push all you chips to the middle of the table.

It’s time to ante up all of your faith.

It’s time to go all in.

It’s time to go all out.”

As many of us have felt, especially our first times up at the plate, Qing the workout is a huge preparation of thoughts, timing, weather, knowing the AO, responsibility, fear of the soreness from the previous day’s workout, the whispers of, “don’t do it if you can’t Q it…”  YHC has seen such a change in the men around me and in myself that Qing, for me, has become a way to lead men to get better but in the process has pushed me to tackle things as a man.  If a man can Q 20 purpose driven men through 45 minutes of intense physical exercise and lead them all through it and challenge himself along the way, then no barrier in the day cannot be solved or overcome.  In a way, it has become addictive.  A way to push the envelop and give back to my friends.  As Sensation told YHC before my VQ,”Remember, no one gets up this early just to fart around.  Kick some ass and make it worth not hitting the snooze button!”  Pushing the pax directly pushes the leader.  The Table setter was founded to set the compass and purpose for the week and is one of YHC’s favorites.  So with Dipstick on IR, and 21 men just looking my way, a welcome and disclaimer was given, and we mosey’d to the tennis courts for:

Warm A Rama:

SSH IC x 25

Copperhead Squats IC x 20

Cotton Pickers IC x 15

Hand Release Merkins IC x 15

We divided up into the Band of Brothers and the Tablesetters, and the latter was off.  Stop at 12th street for:

Mountain Climbers IC x 15

Fast mosey to the cutting board for:

The Thang:

Rack em, stack em, and get back (in time)

Each series of exercise were done at the cutting board followed by a run out and back.  The catch was this, as we stacked on exercises and more reps, we added distance each time we ran out. The mosey was a hard mosey.

Round 1: 5- 8 count bodybuilders, mosey a lap around the “Jib”

Round 2: 5- 8 count bodybuilders, 10 LSF IC, mosey to 6th street and back around the Jib. Plank for the 6.

Round 3: 5- 8 count bodybuilders, 10 LSF IC, 15 Hand Release Merkins IC, mosey to 5th street and back around the Jib. Al Gore for the 6.

Round 4: 5- 8 count bodybuilders, 10 LSF IC, 15 Hand release Merkins IC, 20 Copperhead Squats IC, mosey to 4th street and around the Jib.  6 inch leg lift hold for the 6.

Round 5: 5- 8 count body builders, 10 LSF IC, 15 Hand Release Merkins, 20 Copperhead Squats IC, 25 Alternating Shoulder Taps IC.

Time was a dwindling, so at the request of many there was no Indian Run, there was a Baatan death March.  Same thing but the 6 drops for 3 merkins taps the next to the last man once he catches up then sprints to the head of the line.

Mary:

Homer to Marge SC x 20

Balls to the Wall 30 count

Box Cutters IC x 40

LSF IC x 40

COT:

Swag’s son is home and improving from respiratory illness.  Crabby’s mother in law was placed into assisted living recently.  Keep both families in your prayers.  Misty has the Q for Dreadknought, Lassie at QAR.  YHC took us out reciting the above, “All In Manifesto.”  It is a favorite of mine and is very inspirational.

It was an honor and pleasure to lead again!  Until next time,

SYITG
