9 of Greensboro’s strongest laughed in Mother Nature’s FACE by posting in 8 inches of North Carolina powder.  WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND DOES THIS???

I-Beam’s Silverado, once considered a trusty steed in all conditions, required two manual assists to make it to the AO and many more to get home.  Apparently Silverados don’t like to go straight in the snow.  Sideways, no problem.  Straight, not so much.  Thanks Cheddar for the second push.  Consider it extra credit.

By the way, after this experience I’m questioning all the bravado from the Silverado camp:  (CAUTION: NSFW or children’s ears) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UfHtcUZXljw

Not to waste time, after a quick disclaimer and request that the PAX not do anything stupid in these conditions we moseyed to the school courtyard for Warm up:

  • 25 Side Straddle Hops
  • 15 Sungods, sobriety style, each way
  • 15 Windmills
  • 25 mountain climbers (might as well go ahead and get our faces in the snow…)

Slow mosey to the football field for Thang 1:

  1. Turkee Ladders to 7: on one side of the football field do 1 burpee.  run across the field and do 6 Turkish getups (#crowdpleaser in the snow).  run back, do 2 burpees, run to the other side, do 5 Turkish getups, and so on, always adding up to 5.  OH and karaoke run on the way to the other side of the field.
  2. Squerkin Ladders to 7:  on one side of the football field do 1 squat.  run across the field and do 6 merkins.  run back and do 2 squats.  and so on, back and forth, always adding up to 7 total.

By the time we finished, each PAX had a nice little trail formed.  We moseyed back to the courtyard for Thang 2:

Three exercises on the short wall:

  1. 20 dips
  2. 20 step ups (10 each leg)
  3. 20 derkins

between each exercise, run a short loop up the stairs and back.  We made it through two circuits before moving on to three final moves:

  1. Deep squat to a count of around 20
  2. Smurf Jacks x10 (lots of mumble chatter on these – they are indeed the stupidest exercise in all of F3 Nation)
  3. Ring of fire – do merkins around the circle to a count of 10.

Mosey to the shovel flag for Mary, which was a modified Captain Thor.  A situp with four American hammer twists counted as “1” and we went to 10.

Announcements:

  •  Watch Twitter for an announcement on whether #LathamGrinder will be held on Monday.  The temps will be low and will all this snow conditions will likely be treacherous.
  • Blood drive – please help spread the message on whether it’s still on or canceled.  Butt Fumble will text soemthing out.
  • Judy’s Chair – the person selling chair agreed to take $5,000 instead of $6,000 for the chair, which is great news and gives Judy some funds to live off of.

Chips took us out.

Always a pleasure!
