A beautiful morning in the gloom before the frigid cold hits (again). It was welcomed by 13 PAX plus YHC. Drysdale made it by 5:30 so we officially started at 5:30 instead of Local Honey usual 5:31.
F3 welcome and disclaimer made, YHC announced we were doing a honorary workout to pay homage to Wideleft. A great workout he has led a few times (with some slight changes).
Initial mosey over to the parking lot at the corner of Greene St and Market (beside Lincoln Financial) for some warm-o-rama.
Warm-o-rama:
5 Burpees OYO
25 SSH IC
5 Burpees OYO
10 copperhead lunges each leg IC
15 copperhead squats
Sun Gods forward and reverse 15 each direction IC
Then we lined up for some active warm up across the parking lot:
Butt kickers, high knees, karaoke, sprint at 60% and 90%.
Then we continued our mosey to the statue of Nathaniel Greene for the Thang
The THANG:
Partner up. Partner A runs around the block of McGee, Elm, Smothers Pl, and Greene St (~0.19 mi) while Partner B does exercises. Flip flop and work down the list of exercises until time is called.
Exercises:
1. Merkins
2. Crab cakes
3. Carolina Dry Docks
4. Step ups
5. Crunchy frogs
6. Dips
7. Alternating Shoulder Taps
8. LBCs
9. Burpees
Time was called as some sugar rays started Burpees, which was mentioned as being last on the list to punish those making it that far…
Unusally high traffic for that area this morning…however all were safe and because UGA wasn’t there, we didn’t have any females stop to check the PAX out…
Mosey back to the shovel flag for some Mary.
MARY:
Dying cokroaches 20 IC
Protractor at different angles (including an extended 10 count at 30 degrees, 2 different times)
Low slow flutters 20 IC
American Hammers 20 IC
Announcements:
Blood Drive this Sunday the 8th at Cyles de Oro.
Quicken on the Q at Uptown Funk this Friday
Boy Wonder on the Q at Local Honey next week = VQ!!! Come show your support!
YHC took us out. Thanks to all the PAX in attendance for allowing me to lead this morning. Some impressive work by all! Until next time…
