9 old jolly pax rolled out for the 1st of 2 #Fenceline anniversary celebrations. As YHC prepares the site for a beatdown, he loves seeing an empty parking lot going in and a full parking lot upon planting the shovel flag.  Only this week, he didn’t recognize some cars and faces.  Always a pleasant surprise, we had some visitors. One who we all know in Xerox (dropped a minute off his 5k time at Everest’s running workout and now wanted to rejoin a “real” workout) (his words not mine) and Term Paper. A friendly (Tar Heel) visitor from the land of Cary. Inquiring of our visiting brother with name guesses (English Teacher/Professor) we learned the true meaning behind his name and will not be discussed in this forum.

A kind Q this morning gave option to some redwoods where our workout would take place. It more or less involved the amount of shelter we would have and the distances we would mosey to get there. Varying answers (Can’t get a straight answer out of this crowd, other than “you’re the Q). As you would have it, being left up to this Q, we took maximum shelter and the least amount of distance to get there. YHC aims to please! So, with 9 pax in tow, a gentle mist,  we moseyed to the upper level of the school for our workout in totality. Somehow, in such a small space we accumulated somewhere in the neighborhood of 2.8 miles. Here’s how we got there.

W.A.R.

Pax lined up single file against the wall and Q stood in front of them to call the Exercise and Cadence. A little too military style, but that’s what space allowed for.

The Thang

Here, at the same location, each pax grabbed a resistance band and heeded instruction. Pax were introduced to some form of German Volume Training. Concept of 10 sets of 10 reps at 80% max. Having only our bands, YHC saw to it to make some modifications. After each “set” Pax had the option of running to the street and do 10 SSH or run the steps around the building with 10 SSH at the bottom.

#Moleskin

  • Welcome to #TermPaper F3 Cary is lucky to have you. Local pax could take some notes from him on how to count Homer to Marge. Aye!
  • T-Claps to Xerox – so focused in his exercise he forgot ole Mick Jagger exuberating voice to #Satisfaction. The pax, at least YHC, seemed a little more Rolling Bones than Stones on this arthritic a.m.
  • Minnie Mouse caught the short end of the stick being on an end for Burpee Ball…but what guy dressed in a red sweat suit this time of year complains about that. Not Minnie Mouse or Saint Nick. #doubleduty
