On a perfect Tuesday morning, 7 PAX joined YHC and Nails for a nice little workout that included a military fitness test for the 2nd time after experiencing it a few months ago. Nails led that part and it was something he went through quite a few times in his military days. The PAX was very strong in all 3 areas, the 2 mile run, the 2 minutes of merkins and the 2 minutes of sit-ups. The merkins and sit-ups do not sound that tough until you realize that you do as many good form merkins without stopping, unless you pause in the plank position and do as many good form sit-ups without stopping unless you pause in the up position. Everyone did a good job of knocking them out. Here is how the whole workout played out:

YHC led the PAX in the following:

Mosey halfway around the parking lot.

SSH x 20 IC

Hillbillies x 20 IC

Sun Gods x 15 F & 15 R IC

Windmills x 20 IC

Hot Foots (Hopping), 20 on R, 20 on L

Wojo Squats x 20 IC

Nails took over in leading the Military Fitness Test

Partner up, each pair of the PAX alternates in doing the 2 minutes of merkins.

One holds the feet while the other does 2 minutes of sit-ups and then switch.

The PAX circles the entire parking lot 6 times for approximately 2 miles of running.

YHC starts the MOM as the PAX finished up (after only being lapped by Spurrier once) and after running a little late, cut it back a little:

LBCs x 20 IC

1 minute of Homers and Marges

American Hammers x 10 IC

Spurrier took us out.

Nails had a praise that he and his son, Rhodes (4), entered a Dad with 6 and under son golf tournament and he said, mainly due to Rhodes, they came in 3rd out of 12 teams and Rhodes won the long drive contest and putting contest. Proud dad might have a child prodigy in the family.

Some of the PAX gathered at McDonald’s afterward.

Great effort by the PAX today. On behalf of Nails and me, it was an honor to lead this great group.
