17 Pax gathered at Circle Time for a little beatdown on MLK day.  Luckily for all of us, Polo decided not to show up in just his boxer briefs.  Here’s how it went down:

Mosey 1/3 mile from the shovel flag around the front of the school on Lake Brandt Road and back to the start of the bus loop.

  • SSH x 25 IC – Hushpuppy coming in hot….
  • Parker Peters x 15 IC…straight in to…
  • Peter Parkers x 15 IC
  • Monkey Humpers x 20 IC #crowdpleaser

After the monkey humpers, the Pax was sufficiently warmed up for a Burp and Merk ladder to 7 and back down with a few extra burpees thrown in the middle.

The Thang – Part 1

Partner Up #sizedoesmatter – Line up on the cones at the bus loop

  • Sprints as a group – 40 yard dash – 2 times up and back
  • Partner Carry up and back
  • Wheelbarrow up and back – YHC was the odd man out so bear crawls and crab walks were in order to try and make up for missing a beast of a wheelbarrow run.
  • Sprints as a group – 40 yard dash – 2 times up and back

The Thang – Part 2

Mosey to end of parking lot near playground where Wicked head butted the pull-up bar at last week’s Murph.  Appropriate disclaimer given about not attempting to head butt the pull-up bar.

Partner A does exercise while Partner B does 5 pull-ups at playground.  #flapjack

  • Body Builders
  • Mountain Climbers
  • Jump Squats
  • Carolina Dry Docks
  • Plank Dips – involved a fair amount of #mumblechatter
  • Ranger Merkins

The Pax made it through all six exercises and some got in some extra body builders.

Mosey back to the bus loop where three more “cool down” sprints were in order.  Mosey to the shovel flag after sprints.

  • LBCs x 25 IC
  • Mahktar Ndiayes x 20 IC – some #mumblechatter about how soft the pavement was
  • Low Slow Flutters x 15 IC…straight in to….
  • Low Dollies x 15 IC
  • American Hammers x 15 IC
  • 5 Burpees OYO

Under Matlock’s leadership, the Pax planked it up while YHC sprinted back to the car to get his phone.

Moleskin and Announcements

  • Gilligan and Matlock will be meeting at Jaycee Park at 630 on Saturday before Cornwallis Nightmare to do some rucking (hiking with a weighted backpack or weighted vest).
  • Great effort by all the Pax today.  Special T-claps to Stage Fright and Polo who gave absolutely everything they had on the wheelbarrow.  Great work, men!

It was an awesome opportunity to be with you this morning.  Can’t wait to do it again very soon!
